Prayer for Finances
Heavenly Father,
I stand upon Philippians 4:19 which states, “My God will supply my needs according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus.”
I thank you I don’t have to put my trust in my ability to meet my needs, but I put my trust in Your ability to effectively work through me.
I praise Your holy name that You are both our Provider and our Provision. You give us all we need for both physical and spiritual needs and You Yourself are that Provision for You are Life and Light, Health and Wholeness. I thank You, Lord, that You know all my needs and necessities of life, and thank You that You delight to provide for each of Your children day by day. I praise You that You are willing and able to make all grace to abound towards each one of Your children, so that we have all sufficiency in all things and for every good work. (2 Corinthians 9:8)
And Lord, when I pray for the things I think I need, help me not to miss Your alternative and better provision. Give me discernment to see and gratefully accept all that You have purposed for me with a heart of thanksgiving for Your goodness and grace toward me.
Help me to look to You as my Provider more than I seek and desire the provision. For You know everything about me and You know my needs before they arise, and You faithfully set into motion the answers to my prayers even before I call. And even though the answers to my prayers may sometimes seem delayed, I often see Your hand of blessing in so many other ways. Thank you for the way You have used difficulties and delays to perfect and develop my trust in You. I may not always understand when things do not work out the way I expect but I know that You have always been there to provide for me in Your time and in Your way.
You have made a way for me to receive Your blessing so that I may BE a blessing.
Your Word says, “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.”
Help me become more faithful this year to bring the tithe (10% of my paycheck) and present it to You by giving it my church body which spiritually feeds me. Your Word says, “Test me in this.” That means you want me to try it and see for myself that You are faithful to Your Word.
Your Promise to me in this is that You will pour out blessing after blessing upon me to not only meet my needs but overflow that I may be a blessing to the needs of others.
Thank you for being a personal God that is a very present help in times of need. I praise You for I know that no matter what happens in the days, months, or year ahead economically….Your economy is never broken. I can depend on You.
Use me to contribute to meeting the needs of our church financially.
I pray for supernatural wealth transfer this year. Your Word says, “The wealth of the sinner is stored up for the hands of the righteous.” I thank You that Fayetteville Community Church and its members will see financial increase this year.
I praise You for allowing us to see and experience The Barn being built and coming to life THIS year and doing it debt free!
May I be a part of the greatest move of God in the history of the Church by giving to what You are doing and may I give freely out of my need as well as out of my overflow because I know where my provision is. I will never know lack as long as I operate by Kingdom principles.
Luke 6:38
“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
Use me and use our church body to see the hurting, the derelict, the cast down and broken and may we be Your hands to show them Your love and reach them for the Kingdom in Jesus’ Name.
Jehovah Jireh. My Provider. Your grace is sufficient for me. Amen.
Day 6 - January 16, 2021
PRAY FOR FAMILIES, CHILDREN AND EDUCATORS
Growing up in a prayer-filled home is a powerful and beautiful thing. Parents can pray over their children from the moment they are conceived through the rest of their lives. Children learn how to pray alongside their parents. Siblings can pray for and with one another as they learn how to resolve conflict and build strong relationships. Extended family can cover loved ones in prayer in both joyful and challenging seasons.
Families that pray together more often than before mealtime can be a life-changing force that not only brings the family members closer to God, but closer to one another!
While no family is perfect, family is a gift from God. It is a reflection to the world of Who He is. It’s no wonder the enemy would want to destroy it. Prayer is our weapon against the schemes and attack from the enemy against our families and children.
Pray to be a family under the Godhead of Jesus Christ
Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh (Genesis 2:24)
But if you refuse to serve the Lord, then choose this day whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, will serve the Lord (Joshua 24:15)
Father,
Thank You for my family.
Thank you for the laughter, the learning, the tears, and the triumphs that fill our home. It is my desire that my family would seek You, Lord. Jesus, I invite You into this house. Teach us. Root us in Your Word. We belong to You, God. We choose to serve You. May we honor You with our actions and our words. May we build each other up according to Your principles. May we extend forgiveness when there is hurt. May we glorify You in our victories!
In Jesus’ mighty name,
Amen.
Pray to be parents who parent with Christ as the center of your home
Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it (Proverbs 22:6)
And you must commit yourselves to these wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your foreheads as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates (Deuteronomy 6:6-9)
Thank you God for my children. What a joy and blessing they are to me. I cannot be the parent for them that they need without You. Help me to lead with Your example. Help me to speak Your words of love, of kindness, of forgiveness and correction. Holy Spirit, work through me when I don’t know what to do, when I don’t know what to say, when I don’t have the answers. Teach me to discipline my children and to set boundaries. Be my courage, Father, when the testing and pushing comes.
I pray for my children to be the head and not the tail. I pray for them to walk in Your precepts all the days of their lives. I call out the King, the priest and prophet in them. I pray they will learn to be quick to repent and have a heart for You.
I pray a hedge of protection around them especially in this time of upheaval because of Covid-19 pandemic. Many have said our school aged children will lose a year of their education because of the difficult circumstances concerning their education this past year. But I trust You to redeem what the enemy has stolen! I take Deuteronomy 30:3 for my family and my children:
God, Your God, will restore everything you lost; He will have compassion on you; he will come back and pick up the pieces from all the places where you were scattered.
I pray for educators God. Give them wisdom and knowledge to know how to best reach each and every student. Give them patience as they learn to juggle teaching, sanitizing, distancing, and masking while trying to be attentive to the needs of the students. Help us to be patient as well, Lord. I pray for Your Peace which passes our understanding and our circumstances to rest upon each teacher and administrator as they continue to move forward during these unprecedented times.
In Jesus’ name I ask these things,
Amen.
Day 7 - January 17, 2021
Prayer of Praise
Joshua 6:20
The people shouted, and the trumpets were blown. As soon as the people heard the sound of the trumpet, the people shouted a great shout, and the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they captured the city
2 Corinthians 10:4,5
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds….
The Israelites marched around Jericho, a fortified city which had impenetrable walls, for six days in obedience to the Word of the Lord in order to possess the land God had promised them. But on the seventh day as they marched they added a shout of praise at the sound of the trumpets! Something miraculous happened! The walls fell flat to the ground allowing the Israelites access to the city to conquer it. Obedience to the Word of the Lord combined with prayer, fasting, and praise will cause strong holds to fall right before your eyes. It is not by our own might or by our power but by the Spirit of our God!
You see, prayer asks, but praise takes!
Praise is an expression of faith, and faith in God’s Word produces results! Prayer has its place because God tells us to bring our petitions before Him.
Philippians 4:6
Don’t worry about anything; instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.
Can you see here in Philippians 4:6 we are to pray and praise? Sometimes our prayers are hindered by our lack of gratitude for what God has done or lack of belief that He is working to bring our answer.
Praise is an act of faith. It exclaims with gratitude and thanksgiving, “Thank you Father for the answer! It’s mine! I have it now!”
The Christian who knows how to praise God regardless of the circumstances is a Christian who really knows God.
So in light of every prayer point we have “marched” around each day this week, I want to encourage you to offer a shout of praise today for the answers and the walls that are tumbling down. Remember, it must be accomplished in the Spirit realm before it can be manifested in the natural.
Even when we can’t see it, God is working.
Even when we don’t feel it, God is working.
He never stops! He never stops working!
Father we come before you today with SHOUTS of thanksgiving and praise! For we know Who our God is!
You are the One Who carries the government upon Your shoulders.
You are the One Who appoints Pastors to lead the Church and You are the Cornerstone of the Church.
You are the Fire that sparks revival. It is Your desire for us to hunger and thirst after You.
You are the One that made provision for healing through the broken body of Jesus and His shed blood.
You are the One Who supplies all our needs. You are Jehovah Jireh- our Provider.
You are the One Who instituted marriage and family was all Your idea. You are the One Who said children are a blessing and a gift from the Lord. (Psalm 127:3)
So we PRAISE YOU TODAY for loving us, for hearing us, for honoring your Word and watching over it on our behalf to accomplish what it was sent to do for us.
We make a joyful noise to You Lord. We serve You with gladness! We come into Your presence with singing!
Know the Lord, he is God!
It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name!
For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations!
Psalm 100:1-5
