Day One - January 11, 2021

Father God, We are living in uncertain times but we know we have a certain God.  You told us in Your Word turbulent times will come (2 Timothy 3:1) but we take great comfort knowing You are the peace within us.(Ephesians 2:14) Though the days seem dark we know You are the Light that illuminates our path ahead. (Psalm 18:28, Psalm 119:105)

We look to You and we humble ourselves before you now on behalf of our nation.

Make us one nation under God.

One nation. Make us one Lord. (John 17:21) We come against delusion, lies, and evil schemes the enemy has sent to divide the American people.

Under God. May we never forget the high cost of freedom. Blood was shed for liberty as a nation as well as a Christian. (Galatians 5:1, Galatians 5:13-14) We humble ourselves before You today as we fast and pray placing ourselves “under God” by acknowledging You as our Supreme authority and as One who sets kings up and takes them down to serve Your plan and purposes. (Daniel 2:21) We pray for godly leaders to rise up and for You to elevate them front and center. We pray for the men and women You have placed in governing positions to be under Your Divine protection. We also pray a hedge of protection around their families. We pray for Divine inspiration to lead and guide them in their decisions for our nation. We also pray Your light will expose the evil and illuminate the good. (1 John 1:5-7)

Indivisible. May our nation be upheld by Your powerful grip and unable to be separated from the godly constitution our forefathers established. We ask You to spoil the plans of evil men who try to divide the nation to destroy it. (Psalm 54:5)

With liberty and justice for all. May we live in the liberty that Christ came to give us. A liberty that sets us free indeed. (John 8:36) May we be a people seeking justice for all….no matter their race or creed. (Ephesians 2:14) We come to You to heal the wounds of our past, to give us strength to endure in the trials of today, and for Your guidance helping us to strive together to live in a more peaceful tomorrow.

We thank You for Your Word which is alive and active (Hebrews 4:12) and working on our behalf to accomplish Your good will for the United States of America.

We know what You cause to exist ….You will sustain. (Hebrews 1:3)

Your Word assures us when we humble ourselves and pray, when we seek Your face and turn from our wicked ways then You will hear us and heal our land.  (2 Chronicles 7:14)

Thank You for the peace and assurance of Your Word. We ask these things in the Name of Jesus.

May God bless America!

Day 2 - January 12, 2021

Pray for pastors and Church

As you know churches have been impacted in many different ways because of Covid-19. Pastors are navigating through uncharted territory and facing unique challenges as they encounter issues they would have never dreamed of dealing with.

Pastors have risen to the occasion by adapting, leading with wisdom, and serving the church body in creative ways during the pandemic to reach their congregations and communities. As they press on during these difficult circumstances, pastors need our prayers.

Pastors and their families experience spiritual warfare, fatigue, trials, temptations, and many other difficulties. They need to be covered in prayer regularly. The enemy attempts to work against their efforts to help people grow closer to God and live righteously.

Here are five prayer points you can pray over your pastors and leaders as they continue to lead us during the pandemic.

  • 1.       A Prayer for Strength

Dear God,

We pray for our pastors to have motivation and vision, that ministries would continue to launch and thrive, and our pastors would not lose opportunities to serve and minister. Help our pastors and our church to have a greater reach and use Fayetteville Community Church to be a beacon of light and hope throughout the world. We pray our pastors would have perseverance and to come through this season with new insight and more inspiration. We pray their faith would increase as they draw closer to You.  We pray they will be on guard and stand firm in the faith. We pray they will be courageous and strong. (1 Corinthians 16:13)

May you, God satisfy their thirst for You and fill them up so they are ready at all times to do the good works you have called them to.

In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

  • 2.       A Prayer for Wisdom

Dear God,

We lift up our pastors to You who need Your great wisdom. We know you have anointed them and appointed them for such a time as this.  Lord, we pray the Holy Spirit will lead them and help them make righteous decisions and help them have clarity as they navigate through uncertain times.

Open their eyes so they may see Your hand working, and open their ears that they may hear Your voice, and we ask that You give them greater discernment to discern Your good and perfect will.

Thank you Lord, that you are with our pastors and you uphold them. Help them to lean not on their own understanding but to trust in You.

Thank you Lord for Your help and empowering them to make good and wise decisions.

In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

  • 3.       A Prayer for Strong Leadership

Dear God,

We thank you for calling our pastors to their ministries. Thank you for equipping them with spiritual gifts, talents, and skills to lead in times like this. We pray for courage and strength to come to them.

We pray for you to send them help in providing the right deacons, elders, and volunteers to lead alongside them so they don’t feel alone in carrying the heavy weight of the work. Help them to be leaders marked by compassion, humility, and wisdom.  We pray our congregation is supportive by submitting to their leadership and growing in respect and love toward them.

You did not give our pastors a spirit of timidity so we pray you would inspire them to walk in power, love, and self-discipline as they demonstrate courageous leadership in these unprecedented times. (2 Timothy 1:7)

In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

  • 4.        A Prayer for Patience

Dear God,

Thank you for our pastors and their fruitful ministries. Bless them with patience. Patience as they wait to hear from You. Patience as they have many voices and thoughts and decisions coming at them, and patience that they can take steps to lead and guide the church. Help them be still and have all confidence that You are in control. (Psalm 46:10) Remind them that You are bigger than whatever is going on in the world and help them to feel You alongside them every step of the way.

May our pastors have a deep sense of peace as they put their trust in You each morning when they rise and all throughout the day in whatever they encounter.

We thank You for being patient with us and we ask You will bless our pastors with a lasting sense of peace in their hearts and minds.

In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

  • 5.       A Prayer for Encouragement

Dear God,

We pray our pastors would be encouraged. We ask You would minister to them and give them a greater sense of hope. Send laborers to extend help, support, and friendship. We pray for them and their families to be protected and covered by the precious blood of Jesus. May they be refreshed and restored during this time. We come against discouragement, fear, or weariness in Jesus’ name. Instead we pray You will lift their spirits, encourage them in trials, and recharge them when they feel overwhelmed. Help them to put their hope in You and renew their strength. (Isaiah 40:31)

Thank you for our pastors Lord and all the work that they do for the kingdom.

In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Day 3 - January 13, 2021

Today is a Prayer for Revival

In the Bible, Revival means a restoration, rejuvenation, or renewal.

As we pray for revival today, we need to remember to

Pray for a Spirit of Brokenness and Repentance – We pray that overwhelming conviction of sin, deep brokenness and genuine repentance among Your people. Fill us with holy fear and reverence for Your name. Purify the Bride of Christ for His Glorious Second Coming.

Pray for Boldness, Holiness and Power in Our Pastors. We pray that dynamic power and renewed passion for You.

Pray for Unity in Churches and Families

Pray for an Explosion of Evangelism We pray that God would give us a burning passion to pray for and witness to the lost.

Pray for a Passion for Missions We pray that God would empower Your people with a burning passion for local and global missions. Please forgive us for our frequent lack of concern beyond “me and mine.”

Pray for an Increase of Laborers - Lord of the harvest, please call thousands into ministry, missions and Christian witness. Send forth a mighty flood of laborers into the harvest.

Pray for Pure Motives and Kingdom Purpose – Lord, we ask You to deepen and purify our very motives in praying for revival and blessing. Lord, teach us to seek Your “face” and not just Your “hand.” Cause us to seek You and not just Your comfort or blessing. Dear God, teach us to pray for Your glory and pleasure, not our own.

Pray for Sweeping Revival in The Church –Lord, we ask You to send sweeping revival even if it takes hard times and great trials to prepare the soil of our hearts.

Father, we pray not for shallow selfish ends, but for Your great glory and kingdom. Cause us to come to You in true humility, brokenness and contriteness of heart.

Pray for Global Spiritual Awakening and Evangelistic Harvest

Dear God, we ask You to rend the heavens and send forth Your awesome “manifest presence.” We humbly ask You to move even greater than You did in any previous awakening.

God, we pray for one last great harvest before the glorious return of Your Son. Purify Your Bride O Christ, and then come Lord Jesus, come quickly!

Day 4 - January 14, 2021

Pray for the Sick

Prayer Focus HEALING

Lord Jesus, today we thank you for your word that says in Isaiah 53:5

But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.

Your word says in Psalm 107:19-20 that

“when we call out to you the Eternal one you will give the order, heal and rescue us from certain death.”

We have read of miraculous healing in the Bible, and I believe that you still heal the same way today. I believe that there is no illness you cannot heal after all the bible tells of you raising people from the dead so I ask for your healing of our physical bodies.

I pray for the nurses and the family caregivers that are beside us through our illnesses, I pray for their strength and wisdom in every situation and that they, “will not get weary in well doing.”

Lord Jesus, thank you that our hope for healing is in you.

If there are doctors or treatments that you would want to use to heal this disease I pray that you would guide the doctors in every decision that they make. I ask for wisdom and discernment about which treatments to pursue.

God, I thank you that every good and perfect gift comes from you and total healing comes from you and that you are in control of everything that happens from our first breath to our last sigh.

Day 5 - January 15, 2021

Prayer for Finances

Heavenly Father,

I stand upon Philippians 4:19 which states, “My God will supply my needs according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus.”

I thank you I don’t have to put my trust in my ability to meet my needs, but I put my trust in Your ability to effectively work through me.

I praise Your holy name that You are both our Provider and our Provision. You give us all we need for both physical and spiritual needs and You Yourself are that Provision for You are Life and Light, Health and Wholeness. I thank You, Lord, that You know all my needs and necessities of life, and thank You that You delight to provide for each of Your children day by day. I praise You that You are willing and able to make all grace to abound towards each one of Your children, so that we have all sufficiency in all things and for every good work. (2 Corinthians 9:8)

And Lord, when I pray for the things I think I need, help me not to miss Your alternative and better provision. Give me discernment to see and gratefully accept all that You have purposed for me with a heart of thanksgiving for Your goodness and grace toward me.

Help me to look to You as my Provider more than I seek and desire the provision. For You know everything about me and You know my needs before they arise, and You faithfully set into motion the answers to my prayers even before I call. And even though the answers to my prayers may sometimes seem delayed, I often see Your hand of blessing in so many other ways. Thank you for the way You have used difficulties and delays to perfect and develop my trust in You. I may not always understand when things do not work out the way I expect but I know that You have always been there to provide for me in Your time and in Your way.

You have made a way for me to receive Your blessing so that I may BE a blessing.

Your Word says, “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.”

Help me become more faithful this year to bring the tithe (10% of my paycheck) and present it to You by giving it my church body which spiritually feeds me. Your Word says, “Test me in this.” That means you want me to try it and see for myself that You are faithful to Your Word.

Your Promise to me in this is that You will pour out blessing after blessing upon me to not only meet my needs but overflow that I may be a blessing to the needs of others.

Thank you for being a personal God that is a very present help in times of need.  I praise You for I know that no matter what happens in the days, months, or year ahead economically….Your economy is never broken. I can depend on You.

Use me to contribute to meeting the needs of our church financially.

I pray for supernatural wealth transfer this year. Your Word says, “The wealth of the sinner is stored up for the hands of the righteous.” I thank You that Fayetteville Community Church and its members will see financial increase this year.

I praise You for allowing us to see and experience The Barn being built and coming to life THIS year and doing it debt free!

May I be a part of the greatest move of God in the history of the Church by giving to what You are doing and may I give freely out of my need as well as out of my overflow because I know where my provision is. I will never know lack as long as I operate by Kingdom principles.

Luke 6:38

“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

Use me and use our church body to see the hurting, the derelict, the cast down and broken and may we be Your hands to show them Your love and reach them for the Kingdom in Jesus’ Name.

Jehovah Jireh. My Provider. Your grace is sufficient for me. Amen.

Day 6 - January 16, 2021

Growing up in a prayer-filled home is a powerful and beautiful thing. Parents can pray over their children from the moment they are conceived through the rest of their lives. Children learn how to pray alongside their parents. Siblings can pray for and with one another as they learn how to resolve conflict and build strong relationships. Extended family can cover loved ones in prayer in both joyful and challenging seasons.

Families that pray together more often than before mealtime can be a life-changing force that not only brings the family members closer to God, but closer to one another!

While no family is perfect, family is a gift from God. It is a reflection to the world of Who He is.  It’s no wonder the enemy would want to destroy it. Prayer is our weapon against the schemes and attack from the enemy against our families and children.

  1. Pray to be a family under the Godhead of Jesus Christ

Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh (Genesis 2:24)

But if you refuse to serve the Lord, then choose this day whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, will serve the Lord (Joshua 24:15)

Thank You for my family.

Thank you for the laughter, the learning, the tears, and the triumphs that fill our home. It is my desire that my family would seek You, Lord. Jesus, I invite You into this house. Teach us. Root us in Your Word. We belong to You, God. We choose to serve You. May we honor You with our actions and our words. May we build each other up according to Your principles. May we extend forgiveness when there is hurt. May we glorify You in our victories!

In Jesus’ mighty name,

  1. Pray to be parents who parent with Christ as the center of your home

Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it (Proverbs 22:6)

And you must commit yourselves to these wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your foreheads as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates (Deuteronomy 6:6-9)

Thank you God for my children. What a joy and blessing they are to me. I cannot be the parent for them that they need without You. Help me to lead with Your example.  Help me to speak Your words of love, of kindness, of forgiveness and correction. Holy Spirit, work through me when I don’t know what to do, when I don’t know what to say, when I don’t have the answers. Teach me to discipline my children and to set boundaries. Be my courage, Father, when the testing and pushing comes.

I pray for my children to be the head and not the tail. I pray for them to walk in Your precepts all the days of their lives. I call out the King, the priest and prophet in them. I pray they will learn to be quick to repent and have a heart for You.

I pray a hedge of protection around them especially in this time of upheaval because of Covid-19 pandemic. Many have said our school aged children will lose a year of their education because of the difficult circumstances concerning their education this past year. But I trust You to redeem what the enemy has stolen! I take Deuteronomy 30:3 for my family and my children:

God, Your God, will restore everything you lost; He will have compassion on you; he will come back and pick up the pieces from all the places where you were scattered.

I pray for educators God. Give them wisdom and knowledge to know how to best reach each and every student. Give them patience as they learn to juggle teaching, sanitizing, distancing, and masking while trying to be attentive to the needs of the students. Help us to be patient as well, Lord. I pray for Your Peace which passes our understanding and our circumstances to rest upon each teacher and administrator as they continue to move forward during these unprecedented times.

In Jesus’ name I ask these things,

Day 7 - January 17, 2021

Prayer of Praise

Joshua 6:20

The people shouted, and the trumpets were blown. As soon as the people heard the sound of the trumpet, the people shouted a great shout, and the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they captured the city

2 Corinthians 10:4,5

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds….

The Israelites marched around Jericho, a fortified city which had impenetrable walls, for six days in obedience to the Word of the Lord in order to possess the land God had promised them.  But on the seventh day as they marched they added a shout of praise at the sound of the trumpets! Something miraculous happened! The walls fell flat to the ground allowing the Israelites access to the city to conquer it. Obedience to the Word of the Lord combined with prayer, fasting, and praise will cause strong holds to fall right before your eyes. It is not by our own might or by our power but by the Spirit of our God!

You see, prayer asks, but praise takes!

Praise is an expression of faith, and faith in God’s Word produces results! Prayer has its place because God tells us to bring our petitions before Him.

Philippians 4:6

Don’t worry about anything; instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.

Can you see here in Philippians 4:6 we are to pray and praise? Sometimes our prayers are hindered by our lack of gratitude for what God has done or lack of belief that He is working to bring our answer.

Praise is an act of faith. It exclaims with gratitude and thanksgiving, “Thank you Father for the answer! It’s mine! I have it now!”

The Christian who knows how to praise God regardless of the circumstances is a Christian who really knows God.

So in light of every prayer point we have “marched” around each day this week, I want to encourage you to offer a shout of praise today for the answers and the walls that are tumbling down. Remember, it must be accomplished in the Spirit realm before it can be manifested in the natural.

Even when we can’t see it, God is working.

Even when we don’t feel it, God is working.

He never stops! He never stops working!

Father we come before you today with SHOUTS of thanksgiving and praise! For we know Who our God is!

You are the One Who carries the government upon Your shoulders.

You are the One Who appoints Pastors to lead the Church and You are the Cornerstone of the Church.

You are the Fire that sparks revival. It is Your desire for us to hunger and thirst after You.

You are the One that made provision for healing through the broken body of Jesus and His shed blood.

You are the One Who supplies all our needs. You are Jehovah Jireh- our Provider.

You are the One Who instituted marriage and family was all Your idea. You are the One Who said children are a blessing and a gift from the Lord. (Psalm 127:3)

So we PRAISE YOU TODAY for loving us, for hearing us, for honoring your Word and watching over it on our behalf to accomplish what it was sent to do for us.

We make a joyful noise to You Lord. We serve You with gladness! We come into Your presence with singing!

Know the Lord, he is God!

It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise!

Give thanks to him; bless his name!

For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations!

Psalm 100:1-5
