“Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my GOD than dwell in the tents of the wicked.” Psalm 84:10

Ushering is a wonderful opportunity to minister to members and visitors by way of our attitude. At FCC, we believe our Usher Ministry Team does their best work when no one notices, ensuring that those attending services or special events are able to focus their attention on worship, rather than distractions. The Usher Ministry Team is responsible for the following duties:

  1. Assist members and visitors in finding seating.
  2. Control traffic flow in and out of the sanctuary.
  3. Offer support, as needed, during the course of services, such as collecting tithes and offerings, distributing handouts, delivering messages, assisting with Communion, etc.
  4. Maintain reverence in the sanctuary, worship areas and lobby.

Ushers at FCC are identified by the beige sport-coat worn during services, and are ordained and inducted into this ministry by the pastor. Ushers are expected to abide by the Code of Conduct set forth by the church, and adhere to the monthly schedule.
