“And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.” Acts 2: 46-47
In our age of fast-food, eating-on-the-go, and meals in front of the TV, we often see dinner-time as just one more thing that has to be done before or after school activities, homework, and baths, or dread the meal we have to eat in isolation. In the Bible, meals are seen as much more than a means to satisfy a physical need. The Hebrew people view eating a meal together as a way of expressing and strengthening their relationships with one another under God’s covenant.
On Wednesday nights, we invite you to come dine with your church family!
Join us each Wednesday night (during the school year) for a delicious dinner served in our Blue Room Café! The serving doors are open from 5:30pm – 7:00pm.
Meals are $6.00 each and include:
- Hot entree with side items
- Bread and dessert
- Tea, lemonade, or water
- High chairs are available!
The Wednesday Night Dinner Crew Ministry recognizes that this meal time is an important part of our congregational life, and provides opportunities for us to get to know one another. As our Pastor says, “You don’t really know someone until you’ve put your feet under a table with them.”
Although reservations are not required, we do ask that you fill out the portion in your Sunday bulletin and drop it in the offering plate, or notify the church office at (910) 323-5313 if you plan to attend.
Volunteers are needed to help prepare the meals, serve, and clean-up!
