Dr. Pritchard was born in Caldwell County, North Carolina, September 29, 1934.  He married Lillian Haas Pritchard of Taylorsville, North Carolina.  They have two sons, K. Wesley Pritchard (married to Teresa Edwards Pritchard) and Byron T. Pritchard (married to Pamela Edwards Pritchard), four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

He attended New England School of Theology in Brookline, Massachusetts, and Aurora College in Aurora, Illinois.  He received his Doctor of Ministry and Doctor of Divinity degrees from Christian Life School of Theology, an affiliate
of Beacon University in Columbus, Georgia.

Dr. Pritchard has been instrumental in planting churches in Caldwell County, North Carolina and in Fayetteville, North Carolina.  He started Fayetteville Community Church, Fayetteville, North Carolina in 1972, an inter-faith church chartered by the State of North Carolina. He has been Senior Pastor of the church for 38 years.  Over this period, the church has grown to about 800 members.  His sons and their families have been great assets to the growth of the church and have been touched by the hand of God to carry on the ministry in Fayetteville, North Carolina and around the world.  Even though K. Wesley Pritchard was made the pastor of FCC in June, 2009, Dr. Pritchard remains active in the ministry of the church.

Dr. Pritchard was also heavily involved in Southern Gospel Music during the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s and has many friends in the Gospel Music industry.   He has also served on the Board of Directors for International Missions Outreach in Haiti for about 15 years and is a member of International Convention of Faith Ministries based in Dallas, Texas.
